If you have seniors please remind them of the FREE help with completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) that will be available by appointment only on November 19 from 5-7PM.
To reserve an appointment students need to go to AHS Website> Counselor page> Newsletter tab and complete the form.

Prior to the appointment students (and their parents) needs to create an FSA ID. This is how students and their parents electronically sign the FAFSA. To do this students and their parents need to go to the AHS website> Counselor page> College Prep and click on the 2nd link "FSA ID" and follow the prompts. They will create a user name and a password for each person and they will receive a pass key code by email.
Remind students to NEVER use their school email address for FAFSA or College Applications as the email accounts will be deactivated about 180 days after graduation. They will need an ongoing personal email address to communicate with FAFSA and colleges beyond that. Also, students and parents may not share a personal email address.
