Hi Current 5th Grade Students! I hope everyone is staying safe and looking forward to return to school soon. The band directors, Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Hicks, are eagerly waiting to return and start making music with all of our students. That being said, we want every student to have the opportunity to learn a new skill that could turn into a lifelong hobby or even a potential career. In 6th grade, students will be able to find an instrument best suited for their success and start their musical journey. If you feel band may not fit into your budget, do not worry. We will work with you to provide materials and ensure all students have an equal band experience. Attached are some short videos of every instrument you will have the opportunity to play starting this fall in 6th grade. Please check all of them out and have an idea of which ones you might want to play next year. We will talk to all of you again once the school year starts in August. Musically yours, Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Hicks Videos Link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1F5WRoUQrdxxiEh5E5DJlsEaaKEnjsN_HUxzs_aMsJiE/edit?usp=sharing

Good Evening Robinson Intermediate Families, We wanted to provide an update on our fundraiser that we completed right before our Wellness Break. We are going to have those items that you ordered shipped directly to your house. It will take several weeks for them to get to you. Along with the shipment of products students will be receiving their prizes as well. When we return from our wellness break we will coordinate the limo ride for those that earned it. Also, teachers will be making wellness checks in the upcoming days and weeks. If you see a number that you do not recognize it may be a teacher calling, we ask that help by answering. We want to make sure you and your student/child have everything you need during this time and you can share those as well with your child’s teacher. We appreciate your understanding in these challenging times. If you have any questions, you can email or SeeSaw your child’s teacher and we will ensure that you receive a timely response. Thanks and have a great night!
Thank you to everyone for helping & stopping by today! RINT ended up with 81.4% pickup! We appreciate your Houn Dawg pride for student learning!

This week is Parent Teacher Conference Week! We will not be having after school clubs, tutoring, or tutoring buses.
We wanted to share a few reminders about Valentine’s Day deliveries tomorrow. All items delivered during the school day will be held in the office until the end of the day to minimize disruptions. If a student receives any balloons or glass items, those will not be allowed on the bus for safety reasons. No school on Friday, February 14 and Monday, February 17.
5th grade Cardiac Kids cholesterol screening is still on for tomorrow (Thursday) if we are in school. The screenings begin at 7:00. Permission slips must be returned for students to participate.
There will be NO 4-H after school today due to the short week. Please contact the office if you have any questions.
Tutoring will be cancelled Monday, November 11, due to the weather forecast.
The 6th grade field trip that was scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, November 7 has been rescheduled for next Wednesday, November 13. This was due to the rain that we are forecasted to get today and tomorrow. Springfield City Utilities did not feel like their grounds would be dry enough for our students to enjoy their field trip. Information is being sent home with students today about this change. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.
Picture retakes are tomorrow, Wednesday October 30th

School resumes tomorrow, Thursday, January 3. Due to security upgrades being installed over break, there is orange fencing blocking off the front sidewalk into the building. Morning drop-off will still run as usual but students will enter into the south door into the commons rather than the main entrance. Staff will be present to get students to the correct location. A decision will be made later about dismissal.
Robinson Intermediate students donated 1,259 canned food items last week. This will go to needy families this holiday season. Great job RIS students!
This month we challenged students to show good character! We already have given out a bulletin board full of praise cards in a week. A special thanks to Mr. Koogler for purchasing a candy bar for every student who earns a praise card. Keep up the great work!
