Students at the Jr. High enjoyed viewing the solar eclipse from the football field while community partners and teachers provided learning opportunities. Community partners included Lawrence Co. 4-H, the Aurora Public Library, and Andy's Frozen Custard of Joplin.

Community Members:
In alignment with Proposition Secure Our Students (S.O.S April 6, 2021), storm shelters at Pate, Robinson, and the Jr. High will be open to the public when school is not in session. The doors will be opened by district staff in the event the tornado sirens are sounded. Hopefully, there will be no need for use, but the District honors the commitment made during the bond campaign. The Aurora R-VIII School District will hold 3rd Quarter/Term Parent-Teacher Conferences during the week of MARCH 11th, 2024.
